Flu Clinic In Malakwa

Interior health will be holding a flu clinic at the Malakwa School Library on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.  Drop in, bring your Care Card with you.  For more information contact your local public health office or call the flu line at (250) 836-4869 or visit

Flu shots are offered free of charge to:

*People 65 years and older.

* Children 6 – 59 months of age.Children and adults with chronic health conditions and their household contacts.

*Children and adolescents (6 months to 18 year) with conditions treated for long periods of time with (Asprin/ASA) and their household contacts.

*Children and adults who are very obese.

*Aboriginal people.

*Household contacts and caregivers of infants and children 0-59 month of age.

*People who work with live poultry.

*Health care and other providers in facilities and community settings who are capable of transmitting influenza disease to those at high risk of influenza complications.

*People who provide essential community services (First Responders, Corrections Workers.)

The flu (influenza) is highly contagious.  Getting your flu shots protects you and those around you – at home, school and work
