Recent Community Projects and information from our previous meeting:
Malakwa Centennial Park – Work will continue on the inside of the concession booth.
Malakwa Thrift Shop is open for the season each Thursday, 10:00 – 4:00.
Yard Creek Camp Ground is open and business was brisk on the opening weekend. Effective June 29, 2018 camping fees are $25 per night. A Free WiFi hotspot is available at the campground. Firewood – $5 per bundle for more information contact our site caretaker @ (250) 836-3814 Please note that Yard Creek Camp Ground will close for the season September 7, 2018
Malakwa Preschool is very active and welcomes new families. The preschool will close for the summer and re-open in September. The Malakwa Playschool now has a very informative website. You may access it here by clicking on this link: http://malakwaplayschool.business.site/
Malakwa Learning Academy is closed for the summer. Registration date is September 4, 2018

Gospel Church – Upcoming barbecue fundraisers for the Boys and Girls’ Club and Teen Centre will take place on the following Saturdays at the Malakwa Gospel Church – July 7, August 4 and September 8th from 12:00 – 2:00. All community members are invited, hamburgers and hot dogs will be available for donations. All proceeds go to support the youth in our community.
New members are always welcome and Malakwa Community members are encouraged to join the Association and help with the many projects that are happening! Membership is only $10.00 per year. The Association contributes to many community projects throughout the year and maintains the Malakwa website www.malakwa.ca
