Malakwa Heritage Church Centennial

May 25th, 2024 marked the centennial celebration for the Malakwa Heritage Church (formally Malakwa United Church.) The church building will have graced our community for 100 years in September 2024.

Many residents and former residents attended with Audrey Stremick and Rhona Martin outlining the events and sharing former history. Sunny – current Minister at the Sicamous United church led the guests in singing 3 hymns. Several guests added their memories of times spent at the church. Rhona Martin thanked the community members who organized and readied the church for the event.
